There are two more performance tonight – at 6:30 & 8:30 pm of Tasty Monster Productions’ new musical Personals -A Love Story for the Rest of Us at Adventure Theatre.
A couple of months ago, maybe even a couple of weeks ago, if anyone told Heather Bagnall Scheeler and Luke Tudball that their show Personals -A Love Story for the Rest of Us, was going to be opening this weekend, they probably would have laughed. But opening it is, and not with a whimper but with bang and a fine array of talent on the Adventure Theatre stage. This show marks the launch of Tasty Monster Productions and a “great experiment”, an outside theatre renting the Adventure Theatre space.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership,” remarks Heather Bagnall Scheeler, co-founding Artistic Director of Tasty Monster (who also plays Claire in this production). “They have been incredibly supportive and generous with resources and the show looks amazing on the Alexander set. We hope this marks the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship.” A continued relationship for Miss Scheeler who has tread the boards at AT as performer, choreographer and stage crew.
The cast includes Luke Tudball, Heather Bagnall Scheeler, Jenny Donovan, Ken Kemp, Kristen Jepperson and Stephen Hock, joined by the award-winning Unified Jazz Ensemble with the hugely talented Mike Noonan at the helm.
“This is a show for anyone who has ever been in love, wanted to be in love, or fallen out of love – a comedic romp through the crazy world of internet dating and personals ads. Written by the team behind the hit TV show Friends this heartwarming journey through the trials, tribulations, and sometime successes of the dating world is a must for anyone who has ever taken a second look at life and wondered what might have been. With memorable music by Stephen Schwartz, Alan Menken, William K. Dreskin, Joel Phillip Friedman, Seth Friedman, and Michael Skloff this will be an evening not to be missed.”
