HCC’s only improv troupe returns for a 6-show season – with Special Guests

Howard Community College’s Arts Collective (AC) kicks off its 18th Season with performances by “What Improv Group?!?!” (W.I.G.). Now in its fourth year, W.I.G. returns for a 3-weekend run which will be performed throughout AC’s 18th season. W.I.G. guarantees a unique, wig-wearing take on improv known for its seriously funny business, always spontaneous (with audience suggestions and participation) – this season will feature guest performances from local improv groups, etc.! Weekend #1:   September 28 & 29, 2012
Weekend #2:  November 8 & 9, 2012
Weekend #3:  February 8 & 9, 2013

W.I.G. Tickets:
Unlimited Shows: $30 (See 1 or all 6 Improv Shows – a $72 Value). Tickets per each show: $12 for general admission and $10 for students with I.D.

The Smith Theatre is located inside the Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA) on the campus of HCC – 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, MD, 21044.

About “What Improv Group?!?!” (W.I.G.):
Now in its 4th Season, W.I.G.’s stellar journey continues!  Crafty, “sketchy” and mind-blowing storytelling and wig-wearing characters define W.I.G.’s distinct take on improv… featuring everything from the absurdly hilarious to the deeply touching, and everywhere in between!  W.I.G. began its on-stage journey (and first season) in February of 2009. W.I.G. is an interactive experience… incorporating audience suggestions and participation. W.I.G.’s cast always includes an amazing mix of HCC students, alumni as well as guest artists, and performs in HCC’s theatres (often to sold out houses) as well as local venues.  And now, W.I.G. will include its first off-shoot troupe during its upcoming 2012-2013 season… featuring the most amazing teen improv actors you’ve ever seen!
