If you are in NYC, TONIGHT at 6 PM you are invited to attend a FREE concert honoring the work of Paul Scott Goodman (ROOMS: A Rock Romance; Bright Lights, Big City; Metropolitan Music; and Him & Her) at ‘Arts and Artists at St. Paul‘ at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center’s Bruno Walter Auditorium – 111 Amsterdam Avenue – just south of 65th Street.
This series is produced, directed and hosted by John Znidarsic.
Admission is FREE and seating is on a first come-first serve basis.
The concert will feature songs from variety of Paul Scott Goodman’s well-known musicals – and his new works.
Paul Scott Goodman was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. He has written a wide variety of well-acclaimed musicals including: ROOMS: A Rock Romance, (nominated for 5 Helen Hayes Awards and a winner for Natascia Diaz’s performance as Monica P. Miller) and 3 Outer circle Critics Awards), Bright Lights, Big City; Him & Her; Alive in the World; God Save the New Wave; Metropolitan Music, and Just East of Broadway.
Paul Scott Goodman was the first recipient of the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame Best New Songwriter Award, winner of the Backstage Bistro Award, first solo recipient of the Jonathan Larson Foundation Award, and winner of the Gilman Gonzalez-Falla Theater Foundation Commendation Award. He has performed as the opening act on several major UK tours, including John Cougar Mellancamp, Joan Armatrading, David Essex, and The Average White Band. Currently, Paul is writing Open Road for Steve and Ruth Hendel, the producers of Fela!
