Howard Community College’s Arts Collective Announces Auditions for “A Cabaret”, February 11 & 12, 2013
Howard Community College’s (HCC) Arts Collective (AC) proudly announces auditions for its Spring Two Night Only “A Cabaret” to occur on Monday and Tuesday, February 11 and 12, from 6 – 8 pm, directed by Grace Anastasiadis with musical direction by Stacy Antoine.
About the Cabaret:
Following last season’s one-night-only Sold Out CABARET, Arts Collective’s 18th Season includes a two-night-only cabaret… a musical theatre celebration that will feature Broadway’s most beloved favorites as well as the extraordinarily unfamiliar!
Auditions:
This Cabaret will feature Broadway Musical Theatre Numbers YOU sing at the audition!
Auditions are scheduled by appointment only and will take place Monday, February 11, and Tuesday, February 12, 6 – 8 pm in Howard Community College’s Smith Theatre. Audition appointment information is available on AC’s website.
Audition Criteria:
Please prepare two (2) contrasting, 16-bar musical selections to sing at the audition. Please arrive prepared according to audition instructions available on AC’s website. Please complete the audition forms (available on AC’s website) and bring to the audition. Printed forms will also be available on site. The production, directed by Grace Anastasiadis, will require minimal rehearsal leading up to one or two dress rehearsals, which will be determined after casting;
Performance Dates:
Friday & Saturday, April 12 & 13, 2013, at 8 pm in the Horowitz Center’s Studio Theatre, Columbia. The Studio Theatre is located inside the Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA) on the campus of HCC, located at 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway, in Columbia, MD, 21044.

The Cast:
Approximately 12 to 16 performers. All roles are non-paid, however, each performer will receive two complimentary tickets. Folks possessing all levels of experience are encouraged to audition.
