‘Red Bastard’ Returns to the Warehouse Theater June 13-15th by Eric Davis

D.C. is a town that revolves around politics. I don’t consider myself to be a political person, but it has been said to me that this show is extremely political, not the politics of nations, but the internal politics that guide us to action or inaction. It is a fierce debate on the diplomacy of desire.

Dody Disanto saw me perform a section of the show in NYC and invited me to come to D.C. and perform 3 shows before I went to create Cirque du Soleil’s Hollywood show, Iris.

The first night, I was an unknown and there was a pretty good house, but the word of mouth sold the seconds 2 nights out. It’s a word of mouth show.

Why spend your valuable time coming to see this show? It is a unique opportunity.  And I can say that without feeling that it is hyperbole…

There is quite simply a certain element of risk that I take in my show that you don’t see in other theatrical performances or comedies. This is why you should go to the show. It’s why I do the show. I won’t say specifically what these risks are, because I want my audience to have the pleasure to experience these moments for themselves. It’s a true risk that’s taken both on the part of the performer and by the audience. That risk creates a tangible tension that is, at its best, magic. A magic that every member of the audience has created together. When that magic happens, life changing events occur. Before your very eyes, you may see true incredible courage, intimacy, and yes, even fear. Come experience for yourself.

Could this Dangerous, Seductive Comedy-Monster Change Your Life?

Something interesting must happen every 10 seconds… And it will! After sold out shows and 5 star reviews across Canada, Australia, and the U.S., America’s Dangerous, Seductive Comedy-Monster comes to unleash his absurdly sadistic masterclass on D.C.

His mission: charm, disarm, shock and seduce.  His target:  you.  Anything can happen as Red Bastard lures his “students” into raw conversation, provocations, rewards, and catch 22’s— encouraging risk, and personal discovery.

Experience this exquisite piece of theater as Red Bastard delicately leads you through a no-holds-barred master class demanding to know nothing less than the existential query,“Who the hell do you think you are?” Lines will be crossed and laughs will be had in this interactive feast of biting wit, mischievous improvisation, and physical prowess.

Red Bastard is Eric Davis. In 2011, he created the role of Allen Smithee in Cirque Du Soleil’s Resident Hollywood show, Iris. In 2010, Mr. Davis won the Golden Nose for Clown of the Year in New York.
