Judges Wanted for ‘The Challenging Voice Competition’ Sat 9/28 @1:30 PM

To raise money to support its mission to end homelessness, Wesley Housing is hosting the Challenge Voice Competition. It is at Cameron Run Park in Alexandria next Saturday afternoon, Sept. 28th, from 1:30-4:00 pm. The competition will feature 13 finalists ages 9-19 competing for a cash prize of $1,000, donated by corporate sponsors.

user-avatar-picKim Moeller, a DCMetroTheaterArts writer and Communications Manager for the event, is looking for someone experienced with youth vocalists to serve as a judge. You will have no responsibilities prior to the event…just show up, listen to the finalists, and score each contestant. Your scoring will not be made public. The audience will also have a vote that will count for 10% of the final score.

While we are not able to offer an honorarium, we can offer visibility for you in the program, and a fun afternoon in support of children in the arts and our work to provide affordable housing for families and individuals in need.
