Suspect Arrested Tonight in the Frank Britton Assault

Tonight 18-year-old Elijah Jeremiah Smith of Washington, DC, was arrested in the assault and robbery of actor Frank Britton earlier this week in Silver Spring, MD. According to Montgomery County Police, “Items of evidence related to the assault and robbery were recovered” at Mr. Smith’s residence.

Police continue to search for other accomplices, and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact investigators at: (240) 773-6800.

Actor Frank Britton was mugged and beaten on his way home after attending the cast party after the opening of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at Forum Theatre. He is now at home resting after the first of several surgeries was performed to repair the damage caused in the assault.
