We are announcing our weekly fall line-up for La-Ti-Do DC at our new venue Bistro Bistro in Dupont Circle – 1727 Connecticut Ave, NW Washington, DC 20009 – 1 block north from the Q street exit of the Dupont Circle Metro Stop (Red Line).
La-Ti-Do is partnering with Arena Stage and is officially taking over the open mic series after Joshua Morgan’s departure to Broadway.
La-Ti-Do is also partnering with Shakespeare Theatre Company for Happenings at The Harman and the Dramatists Guild Fund in NYC.
Featuring: Stars of the Washington, DC professional theater community including Helen Hayes Award winner Chris Sizemore, WATCH Award nominee Stephen Yednock, Poet Chris Moke, and members of Luke Frazier’s National Broadway Chorus & newly formed American Pops Orchestra

About La-Ti-Do’s Fall 2015 Season & Special Events From October to December this year, the weekly series La-Ti-Do will feature a variety of Washington, DC’s top performers presenting some great themes that will be sure to warm up your Mondays this fall at an affordable price with material accessible for everyone re-launching just north of Dupont Circle at Bistro Bistro Restaurant.
We kick off October with Helen Hayes Award winner Chris Sizemore who will be in residence all month, a partnership with Luke Frazier’s American Pops Orchestra and National Broadway Chorus and a New Composer Showcase with NYC composer Joe Maloney featuring Madeline Cuddihy, Scott Harrison, Diana Huey, Kevin McAllister, Don Michael Mendoza, Anya Randall Nebel, Ava Silva, Hayley Travers, and Wood van Meter.
Also in October, we begin a year-long partnership with Arena Stage as we take over the open-mic series started by Joshua Morgan and Sam McMenamin.
In November, we’ll feature WATCH Award nominee Stephen Yednock and award-winning poet Chris Moke, host a Happy Hour event as a part of Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Happenings at the Harman and end the month with the highly successful Duets with La-Ti-Do Co-Founder Don Mike Mendoza.
Also this month, in New York, we will host a repeat performance of our New Composer Showcase with Joe Maloney in partnership with the Dramatists Guild Fund. Cast TBA.
Finally, in December we’ll present our annual holiday shows to close out our 2015 season and 4th year of shows with our 2016 launch scheduled for January 11, 2016 at Bistro Bistro Restaurant.
About the Company:
Curated and hosted by Don Michael Mendoza and Regie Cabico, La-Ti-Do made its debut to a full house in Washington, DC on January 23, 2012 at The Black Fox Lounge in Dupont Circle and since then, it has become Washington, DC’s premiere musical theatre cabaret and spoken word series to serve the DC artistic community on a weekly basis.
The show then opened a touring chapter in New York City on June 9, 2013 at Bowery Poetry Club and continues to do so on a monthly basis. Currently, the show is housed at Bistro Bistro in DC made a special appearance at 54 Below in New York City.
Past musical performers include Helen Hayes Award nominees and recipients: Nicholas Rodriguez, Priscilla Cuellar, Diana Huey, Nova Y. Payton, Erin Driscoll, Matt Conner, Chris Sizemore, Will Gartshore, and Joshua Morgan alongside international spoken word artists: Gail Danley, Sonya Renee Taylor, Sophia Walker, and Vijai Nathan.

This is the 3rd straight year that we have honored Don Michael Mendoza and Regie Cabico’s La-Ti-Do. As they are about to start a new chapter in their new venue-James Hoban’s Irish Restaurant and Bar – 1 Dupont Circle, NW, in Washington, DC, starting Monday, January 12, 2015 at 8 pm.
La-Ti-Do has filled a void in the DC arts scene, with their weekly cabaret performances of music and spoken word. Their events not only simultaneously showcased up-and-coming and professional artists, but they fostered the community of artists in the DC/MD/VA area.
