Broadway’s Andrew Lippa and Kim Scharnberg to join YAA as Guest Mentors
Young Artists of America at Strathmore is thrilled to welcome two inspirational artists from Broadway as our Guest Mentors this Fall:ANDREW LIPPA (Big Fish, Addams Family, The Wild Party) and KIM SCHARNBERG (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Little Women)
On Wednesday, October 28th, YAA will welcome Tony and Grammy nominated Broadway composer, ANDREW LIPPA (Big Fish, Addams Family, The Wild Party.)
In the afternoon, Andrew will work in a masterclass with cast members from our upcoming production of Jekyll & Hyde in Concert.  Students will perform music from Andrew’s own shows, including john & jen, A Little Princess, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Wild Party and Big Fish.
In the evening, students in our smaller YAA Select ensemble will perform with Andrew at a fundraiser for Strathmore’s upcoming world premiere production of I Am Anne Hutchinson / I Am Harvey Milk.Â
YAA Select students will perform Lippa’s anti-bullying anthem, It Gets Better with Andrew at the piano.
