From Signature Theatre: The Summer Hummer has become the Washington area’s hottest, sweatiest, most provocative summer tradition. This racy benefit for theatreWashington’s Taking Care of Our Own, a program that provides financial support for theater professionals in times of need, features top talent from the DC theater community.

Signature favorites Bobby Smith, Donna Migliaccio, Tracy Lynn Olivera, Natascia Diaz, and Maria Rizzo unite with actors from all over town, choreographers, designers, and directors to put on an evening of bawdy showtunes, saucy surprises and baring it all. Directed by Signature’s Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner, this evening is sure to be sweaty, sultry and a whole lot of fun!”

Joel founded The Ushers Theatre Going Group in the DC area in 1990, which had a 25-year run when it took its final curtain call last year. Joel is a proud member of The American Critics Association.
