“I’m thrilled to be taking this show to the OOB Festival,” said Flynn, “there aren’t enough stories about how silly and serious being a parent is.” In The Ferberizing of Coral, two new parents wrestle with anxiety as their daughter talks to them from the future through their baby monitor. DC Theatre Scene called The Ferberizing of Coral “…a fabulous ten-minute distillation of parental anxiety, newborn division.”

The OOB Festival comes right in the middle of a busy time for the prolific Flynn. His play Tinker Bell (an adaptation of Peter Pan from Tinker Bell’s point-of-view) is currently running at Adventure Theatre MTC and his newest play, Sheila and Moby, opens at Flying V Theatre this October.

The OOB Festival is New York’s oldest, continuous short play festival and has attracted submissions from across the U.S. as well as Australia, Canada, Singapore, South Korea, and the UK. Shows are presented in front of a judging panel comprised of theatre industry professionals. At the end of each session, one or two shows to move on to the finals.
