Patrick Flynn’s ‘The Ferberizing of Coral’ a Winner at Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival

Flynn's play was one of six chosen for publication and licensing by Samuel French.

Patrick Flynn’s The Ferberizing of Coral was one of six plays chosen for publication by Samuel French at the 43rd Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival this week. 850 plays were submitted to the festival, 30 were accepted for presentation and six winners were chosen for publication and licensing by Samuel French.

“The festival was an amazing experience,” Flynn said when asked for comment. “It was a real honor to be included among such a diverse and innovative group of authors. My director, Courtney Laine Self, did a phenomenal job casting and guiding Sam Tilles and Samm Carroll in their performances. I’m very excited to work with her again on my upcoming Flying V production Sheila and Moby.

The other five winning plays that will be published and licensed by Samuel French are: Baked Goods (Book by Charlie Cohen, Lyrics by Christyn Budzyna, Music by Helen Park, Orchestrations by Collin Martin), Rabiosa (Nelson Diaz-Marcano), Better (Vince Gatton), The Forgotten Place (Jeff Locker), and Ballgirl (Gracie Gardner). The 43rd annual festival concluded on August 26th, 2018.
