DC Theater Arts and DC Theatre Scene Announce Joint Coverage of 2019 Capital Fringe Festival

DC Theater Arts and DC Theatre Scene are pleased to announce that they are joining forces to cover the 2019 Capital Fringe Festival. Each online publication will review half of the 89 shows in the festival, and all 89 reviews will be accessible in both publications, offering theaters double the exposure and offering ticket buyers the only place online to find comprehensive ratings of all 89 shows.

“This partnership will allow us to maximize our resources and ensure that each production gets the attention it deserves,” said DC Theater Arts Publisher Nicole Hertvik.

DC Theater Arts and DC Theatre Scene will link to all 89 reviews on their websites, publish preview articles and additional Fringe content. Both publications will use the same star system (one to five stars) to give readers a sense of the shows that wowed our writers. Shows receiving five stars will be designated “Best of Fringe” by both publications.

“This collaboration was highly successful in 2017, both for us and for our readers,” DC Theatre Scene Publisher Lorraine Trainor said. “We look forward to, once again, being able to feature the talents of our combined pool of writers.”

The 2019 Capital Fringe Festival runs from July 9 through 28, 2019. The festival, which presents dozens of self-produced productions and a selection of Fringe-curated shows, will take place in Southwest Washington DC’s Wharf District for the second consecutive year.
