A summer favorite, Broadway in Bryant Park returns to the lawn this week for the 20th anniversary of its annual series of free lunchtime concerts, featuring a sampling of songs and stars from some of the biggest hits in New York. Hosted by Delilah and other popular on-air personalities from 106.7 LITE FM, this year’s lineup includes selections from both Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, so you can get a taste of what’s playing at the big houses and the more intimate venues, decide what you want to see next, and revisit the ones you love most.
The festivities begin before the official 12:30 show time, with sound-check rehearsals, great giveaways by the series’ sponsors, and chances to win other fabulous prizes. So come early and stake out a seat or a spot on the grass, grab a picnic lunch and beverage, get a program, and enjoy all the pre-show offerings. And don’t forget to bring sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat, because it gets sunny out on the lawn – and hot on the stage, as you can see from the steaming schedule* below!
