Go ‘Back To The 90’s’ on New Year’s Eve with Broadway’s Casey Likes and The Boy Band Project at Hurley’s NYC

There’s nothing like New Year’s Eve in New York City, with the annual live public celebration and countdown to the ball drop in Times Square, hosted this year by Jonathan Bennett and Jeremy Hassell, and featuring performances by Mark Ambor, Mickey Guyton, Rita Ora, Carrie Underwood, Jonas Brothers, Megan Moroney, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, TLC, Greeicy, De La Ghetto, and Kapo. If you can’t be there in person, you can watch it in real time on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, Telemundo’s Bienvenido 2025, or Univision’s ¡Feliz 2025!, and the show will also be streamed live on multiple websites from 6 pm-12:15 am, including here.

For those who are in NYC and are looking for the perfect all-inclusive VIP experience, there’s another spectacular special event you can attend at Hurley’s Saloon, at 48th Street between Eighth Avenue and Broadway, right in the heart of Times Square. Presented by Badway on Broadway, LLC, Back To The 90’s! offers a full night of ringing in 2025 with stars from the New York stage, a premium open bar, passed appetizers, tapas, and heavy hors d’oeuvres, and an escorted walk to the ball drop at One Times Square for close-up outdoor viewing of the countdown to midnight.

The “Extraordinary Evening of Endless Fun” begins when the doors open at 7:00 pm, with access to the VIP spaces on two floors of the venue – the second floor’s Hella Fly Lounge, where a world-famous MTV DJ will be spinning songs of the decade, and the 3rd floor’s ultra-exclusive VIP Lounge. There will be sing-alongs, decadent 90s dances, interactive scenarios, and live entertainment from special guest Casey Likes (the lead in Broadway’s Back to the Future: The Musical) and starring The Boy Band Project, the sensational group of hot, hot, hot triple-threats from Broadway and beyond – Travis Nesbitt, Chris Messina, Jesse Corbin, and Jesse JP Johnson (who can currently be seen in Wicked) – covering the greatest hits of such legendary boy bands as One Direction, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and more, along with their own original songs.

Nesbitt (The BBP’s leader and founder) told me, “This is our fifth year headlining for the Hurley’s NYE bash in Times Square. We look forward to it every year. Each year the party gets bigger and better, and this year is no exception. We are super excited to perform again, and the VIP escort to watch the ball drop in Time Square is the icing on the cake. I always love spending the holidays with the boyz.” So will their fans, as I’ve seen at their regularly scheduled Boy Band Brunch concerts every other Saturday at City Winery NYC.

In addition to the fabulous main event, guests are invited to continue the festivities back at Hurley’s following the ball drop for a New Year’s After Party (cash bar) in the VIP Lounge, from 12:15 am-??, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. It’s sure to be a night you’ll never forget!

Back To The 90’s! plays Tuesday, December 31, 2024, 7 pm-Wednesday, January 1, 2025, 12 am, at Badway on Broadway LLC, performing at Hurley’s NYC, 232 West 48th Street, NYC. For all-inclusive VIP tickets (priced at $795 per person, plus fees), go online. Attendees are advised to leave ample time to arrive at the venue, since police barricades are set up at noon in and around the Times Square area.
