‘Got It Good’ — written by Sharen Camille and featuring music from the band IrideSense — takes audiences on a heartwarming journey of self-discovery, female empowerment, and the relationships that hold us together.

Get ready to laugh, cry, and cheer. Bethesda Little Theatre’s new musical Got It Good follows a family of three women — Kate, a widowed art teacher, and her daughters, Abby and Becca — each at a turning point in their lives. Through moments of conflict, doubt, and heartbreak, the family learns to support one another while finding their own paths forward.

For local playwright Sharen Camille, Got It Good is more than a story — it’s a dream project years in the making. As she navigated her own “empty nest” chapter, Camille was inspired by her experiences and those of the high school seniors around her. Collaborating with her cousins Tara and Rick, the founding members of the band IrideSense, Camille wove their music into an inspiring tale anyone can relate to. She shares, “We all have a lot more in common on our life journeys than we may realize.”

The musical is truly a celebration of resilience and the enduring power of family and friends. What sets this musical apart is its unique “Mamma Mia-style” fusion of storytelling and music. When Camille approached Tara and Rick of Iridesense with the idea for the show, they enthusiastically embraced the project, granting her “creative freedom to see where [her] imagination might take [them].” The result: a vibrant production drawing on Iridesense’s decades-spanning catalog of pop/rock songs, crafting a show that feels fresh, relevant, and deeply inspired.

Whether you’re a fan of musical theater, a lover of family dramas, or simply in search of a story that uplifts and inspires, Got It Good is a must-see!
