In addition to the roster of previously announced stars participating in the 27th annual outdoor dog and cat adoption event Broadway Barks, coming to Shubert Alley this Saturday, July 12, from 3-6:30 pm, are more fan favorites from an array of hit shows, including Tony-nominated and Tony Award-winning musicals, who will take to the stage with the adorable pets to help them find their loving forever families.
The recently added participants include Isa Antonetti (Buena Vista Social Club), Ali Louis Bourzgui (Hadestown), Preston Truman Boyd (Pirates! The Penzance Musical), Danny Burstein (Gypsy), Victoria Clark (Kimberly Akimbo), Tatianna Córdoba (Real Women Have Curves), Glenn Davis (Purpose), Dez Duron (Maybe Happy Ending), Cole Escola (Oh, Mary!), Max von Essen (Chicago), Lana Gordon (Hadestown), Jon Michael Hill (Purpose), Philip Huber (BOOP! The Musical), LaTanya Richardson Jackson (Purpose), Harry Lennix (Purpose), Audra McDonald (Gypsy), Jinkx Monsoon (Pirates! The Penzance Musical), Bebe Neuwirth (Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club), Brad Oscar (Wicked), David Hyde Pierce (Pirates! The Penzance Musical), Zoë Roberts (Operation Mincemeat), Helen J. Shen (Maybe Happy Ending), and Jordan Tyson (Gypsy).
Hosted by co-founder Bernadette Peters and Beth Leavel and produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, with proceeds benefiting animal shelters, adoption agencies, and rescue groups in New York City and the greater metropolitan area, the annual event has successfully found homes for 85% of the 2,500 dogs and cats featured in the Broadway spotlight over the past 26 years, and has also aided in informing New Yorkers about the thousands of more pets in need in their local communities, encouraging everyone to “Make adoption your first option.”

Broadway Barks takes place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, 3-6:30 pm, in Shubert Alley, between 44th and 45th Streets, Broadway and Eighth Avenue, NYC. The event is free and open to the public; no tickets or reservations are required.
