In 2011, Spooky Action Theater became the recipient of a $1,600,000 bequest in the form of art works, antique furniture, vintage automobiles, and high fashion clothing and accessories. In between his producing duties, Richard Heinrich, Artistic Director, has spent the last year travelling the globe liquidating the estate.
This Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 7 PM, Spooky Action’s Annual Gala will feature a Runway Fashion show and Silent Auction featuring exquisite clothing, shoes and accessories by Madame Grès, one of the brilliant couturiers that made Paris the twentieth century’s center of fashion and Ronaldus Shamask, voted Outstanding Designer by the Council of Fashion Designs of America along with famous designers Hermès, Armani, Ungaro, Hanae Mori, Miyake.
Fabled personality Galactica will host the evening’s festivities, and guests will enjoy canapés, desert, a wine and beer bar, with plenty of time to bid on vintage fashions and mingle with the Runway cast.
For those who cannot attend the Gala, a Pre-Gala Sale will take place on Friday, May 18 from 12- 4 PM & 7- 10 PM. There is no admission fee for the Pre-Gala Sale.
Tickets to the general public are $75 or a table of 6 for $400, but for theatre artists, the price of admission is $25 and may be purchased online, or by calling (202) 248-0301.
