Just announced: Audra McDonald and Christopher Plummer will appear in the next two installments of Classic Conversations with Michael Kahn.

Join STC’s Artistic Director and his guests for an evening of in-depth discussions on classical theatre and the craft of acting.

Audra McDonald is one of the most highly regarded performers on the Broadway stage. She recently won her fifth Tony Award® for her perfomance as Bess in The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess. Her other theatrical credits include CarouselRagtimeMaster ClassA Raisin in the SunMarie ChristineHenry IV110 in the Shade and Twelfth Night. An opera singer with a luminous soprano, McDonald has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Los Angeles Opera. As a Juilliard graduate, she joins Michael Kahn in a discussion of her classical and musical roles and how their challenges intersect.

Christopher Plummer has benefited from a illustrious career spanning over half a century. Classical titled roles include CyranoBarrymore, and King Lear, two of which garnered him Tony Award® wins. He most recently graced the stage as  Prospero in The Tempest  and starred in his own one man show A Word or Two.
