Apples & Oranges is a play about a married couple with issues. Well, actually Rex doesn’t think so and that is one of Dana’s problems. Dana has them going to marriage counseling. Rex thinks they need more sex.
Therapy is where they start to unpack their differences. As the saying goes Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, or Yin and Yang, but Rex and Dana are more like Black and White, or, well, Apples and Oranges.
Every couple goes through stages: first kiss, like, lust, love, adjustments… Right!?
Through flashbacks and alternate takes Rex and Dana relive their less than stellar moments: their first bath, first kiss, their first, second, and – oh, who’s counting – marriage proposal. Anyways, you get the picture. Why is something so simple, so hard? Are we enemies? Are we opposites? No, we’re women and men. But, the question remains, will they stay together? Do we want them to?
Come and enjoy the fun. It’s them not you, right? Bring a date, or not. Bring an EX we don’t care. Perhaps you’ll find someone and update your status while you’re there.
