NCE’s unique presentation of the Four Seasons, one that has been in development for several years, is both entertaining and educational. Before each of the four seasons represented in Vivaldi’s most famous work, which is among the most popular and well known music in the entire classical repertoire, Sushansky and his highly talented ensemble will provide a brief and humorous demonstration of how the text from “Sonnets for the Four Seasons” translates directly into the musical notes he composed for the Four Seasons. During the performance Kammerer will read “Sonnets for the Four Seasons,” widely believed to have been written by Antonio Vivaldi. In addition, courtesy of a large screen presentation, the audience will also see a synchronized presentation of pictures and text from the sonnets as the performance unfolds.
