HCC’s Arts Collective Presents “INHERITORS: The Nature of Keys” June 8 – 18, 2017, An Original Play Devised by The Company.

Howard Community College’s Arts Collective concludes its 22nd season with INHERITORS: The Nature of Keys, an original experiential play devised by the Company. The production will take place June 8 – 18, 2017, in the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center’s Studio Theatre (and beyond).

Emma K. McDonnell, Chania Hudson, Colin Riley, Tey Harper, Nsikan Akpan, Gabrielle Amaro, Daniel Johnston, Makayla Beckles, and Lorrie Smith Saito.

Follow a writer’s inner struggle and creative process as she lives day to day in the world as we now know it, realizing her responsibilities as an artist and to herself.

An original work conceived by ten artists – all are survivors, fighters, and believers. Our whirling, deeply flawed world galvanized the subject. With open eyes and open hearts, these artists take action by giving voice to some of what matters most to them. In the space of one performance, travelers (you, the audience) experience the story’s layers of smoke-screens, truths and distractions by walking through doors held wide open or locked tight  Perhaps you hold the key.
