Rockville Little Theatre announces 74th season

A hilarious farce, a psychological thriller, and a boisterous classic—all live and onstage again at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre.

Rockville Little Theatre is pleased to announce the return of in-person theater for the 2021–2022 season. In operation since 1948, RLT is the oldest continuously operating live theater in Montgomery County. RLT provides high-quality theatrical events at reasonable prices, striving to entertain, enlighten, and educate all who attend. The company offers an opportunity for community members to step out of their everyday lives and to assume new roles as playwrights, actors, directors, costume designers, set designers, and audiences.

In this, their 74th season, RLT returns to the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville, Maryland, with three classic plays:  

Rumors
September 24 – October 3, 2021

Directed by Laura W. Andruski

At a gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding, and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer and wife must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

Bad Seed
January 28 – February 6, 2022
Written by Maxwell Anderson from William March’s novel
Directed by Pauline Griller-Mitchell

Christine Penmark seems to have it all, a loving husband and a daughter she dotes on. But when a child drowns under suspicious circumstances, the whole town starts to speculate about what really happened… was it truly an accident? Who knows more than they are telling? Christine’s secret past is revealed and the fear grows to a chilling finale in this psychological thriller.

She Stoops to Conquer

This boisterous and charming comedy of mistaken identities has delighted audiences for over two centuries with its gorgeous language, elegant costumes, and outright merriment.

A season subscription for all three plays is available for the low cost of only $54 Adult and $48 Senior. Individual tickets for each show also are available for $22. Groups of 10 or more receive 10% off the individual ticket price.
