Theatre Prometheus to premiere all-women ensemble-devised production

'Family and Other Fractured Fairytales' looks at notions of femininity, parenthood, family, and identity.

Join Theatre Prometheus for Family and Other Fractured Fairytales, premiering at the Anacostia Arts Center, this Friday, August 19, 2022.

Family and Other Fractured Fairytales is an all-women ensemble-devised production inspired by personal recollections and featuring interviews, poetry, spoken word, music, and movement. Through humor, candor, and vivacity, it examines and interrogates notions related to femininity, parenthood, family, and identity. By centering diverse voices often missing from the mainstream, this multidisciplinary piece pays homage to the artists’ unique stories and complex identities.
