Tickets on sale now for Kids’ Night on Broadway, March 21, in NYC

Now celebrating its 25th year, Kids’ Night on Broadway – a national audience development program of The Broadway League – returns to New York City on Tuesday, March 21, with tickets on sale beginning today. The annual event, presented by The New York Times and designed to introduce a new generation to the experience of live theater, allows kids and teens ages 18 and under to attend participating Broadway shows for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

According to a statement released by Charlotte St. Martin, President of The Broadway League, “We are excited to celebrate the program’s 25th return this spring and have our theatres filled with the exuberant energy of young audiences, many . . . experiencing a live show for the very first time. Thanks to Kids’ Night on Broadway, 182,747 kids and teens have attended a show for free and we know that will affect their theatre-going habits for the future. Our research reflects that 63.5% of Broadway audiences reported attending theatre as children or adolescents, helping to establish early lifelong connections to live theatre.”

In conjunction with the program, there will be in-theater activities for kids, including talkbacks, Kids’ Night on Broadway activity books, “My First Broadway Show” stickers at participating theaters, and more to be announced. In addition, many restaurants will be offering same-day discounts to ticketholders.

The 21 participating shows are:

Aladdin, & Juliet, A Beautiful Noise, Bad Cinderella, Bob Fosse’s Dancin’, Camelot, Chicago, Hadestown, Hamilton, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Kimberly Akimbo, Leopoldstadt, Life of Pi, The Lion King, MJ The Musical, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Shucked, Some Like it Hot, and Wicked. Also participating is Six, which will take place on Monday, March 20, 2023, due to the show’s schedule, with no Tuesday performances.

Please note that all theatergoers must have a ticket to attend a show; the special offer is applied as 50% off each ticket (one adult, one child), with no additional free tickets added to orders. Not all seats are available for Kids’ Night pricing.
