Returning to the festival in story is Vincent Stovall in The Truth According to Uncle Vinny. Uncle Vinny is unapologetic about his feelings on family, culture, and life. Local Drag Queen favorite, Tara Hoot joins the festival this year for an evening of stories, songs, and campy kindness. Dance companies dominate the festival with performances from Resident Arts Partner Black Leaves Dance Company, festival favorite Dissonance Dance Theatre, Furia Flamenca Dance Company, Motion X Dance Company, and all the tappers from Capitol Tap, District Tap, and Monumental Tap. Next Reflex Dance Collective partners with the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia for their performance. Four saxophone players come together in Project Fusion Saxophone Quartet. Recording artist Gisele Jackson joins the festival this year bringing the music of Nina Simone, The Staple Singers, KoKo Taylor, and more. Semilla Cultural celebrates 10 years of Puerto Rican Bomba music at the festival. A curated talk-back with the artist will take place after each performance.

ABOUT ATLAS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
The Atlas Performing Arts Center is a nonprofit performing arts venue in a historic theater in the H Street, Northeast community in Washington, DC. The Atlas fosters and presents stellar art in film, dance, music, theater, vocal and choral work, spoken word, and beyond. The Atlas has four performance spaces and often hosts free events in its lobby. Atlas produces Atlas Presents performances and also rents its spaces to other artist groups so they can create their own productions. Atlas supports and partners with DC arts makers — Resident Arts Partners — including Capital City Symphony, Mosaic Theater Company of DC, Visionaries of the Creative Arts (VOCA), Joy of Motion Dance Center, and Black Leaves Dance Company. The Atlas also leads in its arts education initiatives through its City at Peace youth development program and the Atlas Arts Lab. In the winter each year, Atlas produces its popular INTERSECTIONS Festival, which hosts close to 300 artists and performing groups who entertain and engage thousands of patrons in a multi-week-long celebration of the arts.
