Nominations for Broadway’s 2024 Tony Awards

Airing live from Sofitel New York on the Tony Awards official YouTube page, Tony winners Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Renée Elise Goldsberry announced the nominations for the 77th annual Tony Awards this morning (Tuesday, April 30) at 9:00, with a selection of six categories also read live on CBS Mornings at 8:30.

The cut-off date for the 2023-2024 season’s Tony Awards, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, was Thursday, April 25, for a total of 36 Broadway productions that met all eligibility requirements, as determined by the Tony Awards Administration Committee: An Enemy of the People; Appropriate; Back to the Future; Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club; The Cottage; Days of Wine and Roses; Doubt; The Great Gatsby; Grey House; Gutenberg!; Harmony; The Heart of Rock and Roll; Hell’s Kitchen; Here Lies Love; How to Dance in Ohio; Illinoise; I Need That; Jaja’s African Hair Braiding; Lempicka; Mary Jane; Merrily We Roll Along; Mother Play; The Notebook; Once Upon a One More Time; The Outsiders; Patriots; Prayer for the French Republic; Purlie Victorious; The Shark Is Broken; Spamalot; Stereophonic; Suffs; Uncle Vanya; Water for Elephants; The Who’s Tommy; and The Wiz.

Out of this year’s eligible shows, 28 received nominations. In the lead are Hell’s Kitchen and Stereophonic with thirteen each, followed by The Outsiders with twelve.
