The DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities has just announced the DC Area Theatre Census and the DC Area Dance Census, capturing key information about the local theater and dance ecosystems in the Greater Washington, DC region. The kickoff to these two separate censuses will be held on Wednesday, August 21, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Whitlow’s DC. Local artists and organizations may learn more about the census, offer feedback, and network with fellow creatives during this social event.

Both censuses open on October 2 and close on November 22, with full results expected to be delivered to the public during the first quarter of 2025!
If you are a theater or dance professional working in any realm of the local theatre or dance industry, be sure to visit www.DCTheatreCensus.org or www.DCDanceCensus.org to make your voice count!
More details of the census may be found online, and questions may be directed to Edward Daniels at edward.daniels@dc.gov
