Constellation Theatre Company announces the company for the final show of its 18th season, Head Over Heels, a Broadway musical featuring music from the iconic rock band The Go-Go’s. The musical’s story is based on ‘The Arcadia’ by Sir Philip Sidney, conceived and original book by Jeff Whitty, and adapted by James Magruder. This production will be directed by Constellation Theatre Company’s Founding Artistic Director, Allison Arkell Stockman, with musical direction by Walter “Bobby” McCoy and choreography by Maurice Johnson. Head Over Heels is a celebration of self-discovery and queer identity, weaving together Renaissance romance and Greek comedy with fantasy and gender-bending in a laugh-out-loud love story. Head Over Heels will run from May 1 – June 1, 2025.
The cast includes Rebecca Ballinger as Mopsa, Ariana Caldwell as Philoclea, Julia Link as Pamela, Stephen Russell Murray as Dametas, Nico Ochoa as Pythio, Oscar Salvador, Jr. as Basilius, Harrison Smith as Musidorus, Fran Tapia as Gynecia, and Jordan Essex, Caroline Graham, and Cristen Young as members of the ensemble.

Allison Arkell Stockman shares, “Bringing to life this Shakespearean, romantic romp underscored by the epic music of The Go-Go’s is a total blast. Love affairs, mistaken identity, chase scenes, sword fights, and magical prophecies – all of this joy erupts on stage – just in time for World Pride 2025!”

ABOUT THE GO-GO’s
The Go-Go’s are an American all-female rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1978. Except for short periods when other musicians joined briefly, the band has had a relatively stable lineup consisting of Charlotte Caffey on lead guitar and keyboards, Belinda Carlisle on lead vocals, Gina Schock on drums, Kathy Valentine on bass, and Jane Wiedlin on rhythm guitar. The Go-Go’s four biggest Hot 100 hits include “Our Lips Are Sealed” (no. 20), “We Got the Beat” (no. 2), “Head over Heels” (no. 11), and “Turn to You” (no. 32). The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Women Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2021. While the band announced their disbandment, they have reunited several times for events, including an induction to the California Hall of Fame. They have also been announced as part of the bill for the May 2025 Cruel World concert festival in Pasadena, California.
