This week, a new music video of an original song from an upcoming Off-Broadway production performed by Julie Benko and the official trailer for a new documentary celebrating Broadway legend Tovah Feldshuh were both made available for online viewing, so you can now get a first look at the shows and the stars.

“I’ll Be Here” – On Monday, December 15, Brainstorm Live Entertainment released a highlight from the new musical The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul, with book, music, and lyrics by Christie Baugher, in advance of an industry presentation scheduled for the Spring of 2026, to be followed by a full-stage Off-Broadway production. The two-actor chamber musical, directed and choreographed by Danny Mefford, dramatizes the tumultuous marriage of Jazz Age literary icons Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald, struggling with addiction, mental illness, professional jealousy, and secret ambitions through a devastating love story that spans decades and continents.
At this Fall’s launch event for the musical, after a sold-out concert at Joe’s Pub in 2019, a 2023 ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in LA, and a preview production staged in 2024 at Buffalo’s Irish Classical Theatre Company, a selection of songs was performed by Broadway stars Bobby Conte (Company; The Who’s Tommy) and Julie Benko (a breakout sensation for her celebrated lead role in the Broadway revival of Funny Girl), who delivers the opening and closing number “I’ll Be Here,” which you can now stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and across all digital platforms.
Baugher calls the song “a perfect introduction to the sonic and emotional world of the show” and hopes that “the brilliant twelve-piece orchestrations and Julie’s beautiful and heartbreaking performance transport listeners to a place that leaves them wanting more.” The music video on YouTube, which features exclusive studio footage and an arrangement by Frank Galgano and Matt Castle, can be seen here:
TOVAH – Directed and produced by award-winning film and stage director, producer, and performer David Serero, TOVAH is a star-studded feature-length documentary film honoring one of Broadway’s most revered and influential actresses, Tovah Feldshuh, and her extraordinary 50-year career on the American stage and beyond, including her acclaimed portrayal of Golda Meir in Golda’s Balcony, as well standout roles in Yentl, Lend Me a Tenor, Pippin, and Funny Girl on Broadway, her Emmy-nominated performance on The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and her appearance in the Netflix series Nobody Wants This, introducing her to a new generation of global audiences.
Through exclusive interviews, rare archival footage, and intimate behind-the-scenes access, tracing her ascent from a young actress to a Broadway institution and cultural icon, the film features an expansive line-up of voices from the performing arts and culture, including Oscar Isaac, Dustin Hoffman, Kristen Bell, Patti LuPone, Stephen Schwartz, Peter Gallagher, Adam Brody, Rachel Bloom, Julie Benko, Jared Grimes, Daryl Roth, Chris Silbermann, Michael Adler, Daniel Roher, Elie Chouraqui, Katie Couric, Joy Behar, Erin Foster, Sharon Bialy, and Julie Platt, among many others across theater, film, and television, who, according to Serero, “have been inspired by her brilliance, discipline, and courage.”
