NYC Off-Broadway Week returns with 2-for-1 tickets to 26 shows

New York City Tourism + Conventions – the official destination marketing organization and convention and visitors bureau for the five boroughs of NYC – today announced the opening of reservations for NYC Off-Broadway Week. Presented in partnership with the Off-Broadway League since its inception in 2009, and supported in part this year by Amtrak and Ticketmaster, the program runs from February 16-March 12, offering 2-for-1 tickets to 26 shows, including 16 new participating productions.

“We’re thrilled to once again make Off-Broadway theater accessible to New Yorkers and visitors this winter through NYC Off-Broadway Week,” said Julie Coker, President and CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions. “Since its launch, this program has supported over 950 shows and sold more than 150,000 tickets, bringing the excitement of Off-Broadway to an expansive audience. Off-Broadway theater champions New York City’s creative spirit through innovative storytelling, and this program continues to showcase its experiential and diverse performances while supporting the stages that fuel our cultural economy and keep NYC at the forefront of the global arts scene.”

Joey Monda, President of the Off-Broadway League – founded in 1959, to foster theatrical productions in Off-Broadway theaters (Manhattan venues with 100–499 seats) – noted, “NYC Off-Broadway week is a tremendous opportunity for audiences to experience and celebrate the creativity that makes up the cultural foundation of New York City. NYC Tourism remains one of our most ardent partners to help spotlight the fantastic work that happens Off-Broadway while supporting the artists, producers, and theaters that are the heartbeat of New York’s theater community.”
