At a moment when the past feels dangerously present, Nu Sass Productions brings forward a work that refuses to look away. Everything, Devoured by Katherine Gwynn is a searing theatrical event that channels rage, humor, and ritual into a reckoning with the systems that shape our lives. The show follows Ronald Reagan, who is a demon. Ronald Reagan is a drag queen. Ronald Reagan is here, queer, and ready to eat you alive. In a world already burning, Kore tells her lover Julian, her best friend Dante, and Michael (a ghost who died in 1989) that she wants to summon a demon. They assume it’s a metaphor. A coping mechanism. A joke. Then Ronald Reagan arrives as a demon, as a drag queen, and refuses to stay symbolic.
An O’Neill Semi-Finalist and Bay Area Playwrights Festival 2025 Finalist, Everything, Devoured is a bold, ferocious, and darkly funny ghost story and queer ritual — part drag show, part summoning, part exorcism. As blood spills and the past claws its way into the present, four souls are forced to confront the systems, histories, and desires that haunt them, and decide what must be destroyed to survive. This is a play about facing your demons when they’re wearing a perfectly contoured face and demanding an encore.

“I wish this play were less relevant, but I’m so grateful we have it right now,” said Co-Director Tracey Erbacher. “This play is truly everything. It’s a ritual. It’s a summoning. It’s a scream. It’s a conversation about how we do leftist revolution. And, most importantly, it’s a love letter to the queer community that gets us through.”
Everything, Devoured is a painfully prescient piece. Presenting at Sitar Arts Center, the play includes Kore, a trans lesbian from Kansas, who has a haunting monologue about a bill that would make it retroactively illegal to change one’s gender marker on their Kansas driver’s license. In February, a similar bill was signed into law by the Kansas state legislature, and thousands of trans people lost their IDs overnight.
The piece stars June Dickson-Burke (Kore), Tristin Evans (Justin), Selena Gill (Dante), Christian Harris (Michael), O’Malley Stauerman (Ronald Reagan as a Demon), joined by understudies Iffy Alachebe, Nature Brelovich, and Amanda Leyva.
Tracey Erbacher and Ileana Blustein co-direct the production and features creative designs from Simone Schneeberg (Scenic Design), Henery Wyand (Costume Design), Martin Bernier (Props Design), Vida Huang (Lighting Design), Di Carey (Sound Design), Sophie Smrcka (Projections Design), Evey Hoang Vo (Associate Projections Design), presenting the piece in a standard proscenium setting in a less-traditional theatrical venue. Kiefer Cure serves as the Intimacy and Fight Choreographer, Henery Wyand as Drag Consultant, and Theo Yu as Dramaturg. Lauren Patton Villegas is the Stage Manager, and Deacon Withers is the Assistant Stage Manager.
Everything, Devoured, presented by Nu Sass Productions, runs April 17 – May 10, 2026, at the Sitar Arts Center, 1700 Kalorama Rd NW, Washington, DC 20009. Tickets are $25 general admission, $15 for students, educators, and essential workers, and $10 for theater industry professionals, and available online.
