Winners of the 2026 Off Broadway Alliance Awards

The The Off Broadway Alliance, an organization of Off-Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals, has announced the winners of the 15th Annual Off-Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2025-2026 season. As was previously announced, in addition to the five competitive awards, are three special honorary categories recognizing sustained achievements in the world of Off-Broadway theater. 

The winners and honorees of the 2026 Off Broadway Alliance Awards are:

BEST MUSICAL: Mexodus

BEST PLAY: Cold War Choir Practice

BEST REVIVAL: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

BEST SOLO PERFORMANCE: Can I Be Frank?

BEST UNIQUE THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE: Masquerade.

LEGEND OF OFF-BROADWAY: Peter Friedman and Christine Pedi

THE OFF BROADWAY HALL OF FAME: David Gersten, Andy Halliday, and Paul Libin (all posthumously)

THE FRIEND OF OFF-BROADWAY: Richard Ridge.

Congratulations to the winners and honorees. The Off Broadway Alliance Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 16, at 1:00 pm, at Sardi’s.
