Ruthann Pippenger

Ruthann’s early years were filled with many musical opportunities in her Midwestern farm community. At age 10 she accompanied the local high school orchestra and became the church pianist at age 14. She filled her academic and free time through university with accompanying soloists, choirs, choruses, offering solo work, and teaching piano on the side. After university, she turned her attention to psychology, family therapy and coaching. She specialized in the field of human potential, psycho-spiritual development and meditation. She traveled internationally as a lecturer and consultant. She founded Peace Through Understanding in The Netherlands and Norway and founded and co-directed Aurora, a healing center in Oslo. She is a leader of 'The Dances of Universal' peace. As a “retirement gig,” she teaches piano calling her business, Piano On The Run. Ruthann has taught piano to several children with special needs. She is the author of “My Name Is Laurie” a memoir about raising her high-functioning Down Syndrome daughter as a single mother in three different countries.
