 On December 10, 2012, Washington Savoyards is hosting a fundraiser in honor of Kathleen Mitchell’s 10 years of leadersdhip. The event will take place at Atlas Performing Arts Center. Expect to hear favorites from the Gilbert & Sullivan songbook and the Musical Theatre canon performed by some of DC’s most popular musical theatre artists, all of whom are Savoyards alumni. We hope to see you there! Join the Savoyards as they honor Kathleen Mitchell’s ten years of leadership. This event will take place at Atlas Performing Arts Center and will begin with a cocktail hour and musical entertainment featuring Savoyards and DC musical theatre favorites. Musical selections will include favorites from the Gilbert & Sullivan Songbook as well as classic and contemporary Musical Theatre songs. Then hear past and present Savoyards leaders and friends thank Kathleen for her decade of service and lay out our plan for the future. Capping off the evening will be a silent auction to support the organization.  Confirmed performers include: Carolyn Agan, Sandy Bainum, Jean Cantrell, John Dellaporta, Matthew Kacergis, Emily Levey, Chris Mueller, and Stephen F. Schmidt, all Savoyards alumni and fixtures of DC’s arts scene. The event will be hosted by six-time Emmy Award winner Sue Palka. Tickets are $40.
