The Audrey Herman Spotlighters Theatre is hosting a Charity Date Auction on Sunday December 9, 2012!
As a part of their ADA Renovation Capital Campaign, Spotlighters wants to be fully accessible to everyone! They have worked with multiple architects and engineers to develop the best plan possible, and gotten a detailed estimate of the costs to do just that. The new plan will include the installation of a fully enclosed exterior elevator to take patrons from the sidewalk level of Saint Paul Street to the Courtyard Level of the theatre lobby’s entrance. The plan also includes the renovation of the restroom facilities to be fully accessible for wheelchairs and others with mobility issues, as well as wheelchair accessible seating areas inside the theatre auditorium. The renovation will cost $175,300!
As a kick-starter fundraiser, the theatre will be hosting a Charity Date Auction to help raise money for the renovations!
The event will kick off at 7:00pm on Sunday December 9, 2012 and run until all the eligible candidates have been bid on! Every person on the auction block will start off at $25 minimum bid and go up from there. The dates will be super fantastic as local establishments from all around the Baltimore area have donated in fantastic prizes to go with those being auctioned off! Some of the fantastic dates that you could go on include: A trip to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, a show a Toby’s Dinner Theatre of Baltimore, and even a dinner at HardRock Café!
It’s an event you won’t want to miss! There will be food and beverage for sale in the lobby both before and during the even t — including homemade cakeballs by a local Baltimore chef!
Admission is $10 and the bidding will start just after 7:00pm! There’s even a super special Super Hero to bid upon! So bring your friends and be sure to check it out— a splendid time is guaranteed for all!

Spotlighters Theatre is located in the Mount Vernon district of Baltimore at 817 Saint Paul Street, in Baltimore, MD. Street parking is available all up and down the street on Sundays!
