 For one night only, Upfront Inc. proudly presents TONY BENNETT, the Grammy Award-winning musician whose music spans over six decades TOMORROW NIGHT Saturday January 26th @8 pm for an Inaugural week celebration at the WARNER THEATRE.

His long list of achievements, spanning over 60 years, includes fifteen Grammy Awards, including the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, making this artist a true international treasure.

His signature tunes, such as “Steppin’ Out With My Baby” and “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” form part of the fabric of American music culture. Often billed as the world’s most boyish octogenarian, TONY BENNETT is a vital musical artist at the peak of his powers. TONY BENNETT with a new CD, “Tony Bennett: Duets II” on RPM/Columbia Records.

“Duets II,” produced by Phil Ramone follows up “Tony Bennett Duets: An American Classic CD, the 2006 Grammy winning best selling CD which became the singer’s best selling CD to date. Alone TONY BENNETT is legendary.  In partnership with another singer, he’s extraordinary. A sterling all-star roster has joined Tony including Mariah Carey, Natalie Cole, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Queen Latifah, and Amy Winehouse, and some country’s biggest names including Faith Hill, Willie Nelson, and Carrie Underwood. Along with angel-voiced tenor Andrea Bocelli from Italy and Latino singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz from Spain and Josh Groban and John Mayer and Michael Bublé and k.d. lang who were both featured on the original “Duets” CD will return for “Duets II.”

TONY BENNETT has also received critical acclaim for his television appearances, including an Emmy Award and Cable Ace Award for his groundbreaking television special, Live By Request…Tony Bennett, featuring a unique interactive format in which the viewing audience called in song requests during the program. This groundbreaking concept, created by Bennett, eventually evolved into a series on the A&E network and was an on-air favorite for nine years.

TONY BENNETT was also the subject of a major television special, Tony Bennett: An American Classic, which aired on NBC in Autumn 2006, and won seven Emmy Awards,

TONY BENNETT is also a talented painter. He has exhibited his work in galleries around the world, and was chosen to be the official artist of the 2001 Kentucky Derby, creating two paintings in celebration of the iconic event. The United Nations also commissioned two paintings from him, including one for its 50th anniversary and three of his original paintings are part of the permanent collection in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.

Throughout his career, TONY BENNETT has put his heart and time into supporting humanitarian concerns. His many charitable works include raising millions towards Diabetes, and lending his artwork to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. In 2007, he was honored by the United Nations for his humanitarian efforts with the Citizen of the World award.

Together with his wife, Susan, TONY BENNETT established the charitable organization Exploring the Arts (ETA) to support arts education in public school. In partnership with the NYC Dept. of Education, Tony founded the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, a NYC public high school in his hometown of Astoria, Queens.
