Students of the Act Two @ Levine Pre-Professional Program gathered for a master class with two time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster. Ms. Foster’s class was presented by Strathmore in conjunction with her performance on Saturday night at the Music Center at Strathmore.

Foster answered questions from students and Strathmore patrons about her performing career and how the Act Two @ Levine Pre-Professional actors can further their theatrical experiences.
“I think as an artist, for me, its about being inspired about a certain project or character or people involved,” said Broadway veteran Sutton Foster on her move between stage and screen. “You have to live in spontaneity and I want to keep moving forward.”

The list of young singers from from Act Two @ Levine that performed for Sutton Foster were Carley Rosefelt, Eitan Mazia, Audrey Rinehart, and Jhonny Maldonado. They were joined by Yaya Balbed from Strathmore.
Foster gave the students of the Pre-Professional Program great advice for their journeys to move forward, focusing on the students song and character choices.

“She was so personable and down to earth,” said Pre-Professional student Eitan Mazia. “Her words of advice were so helpful and extremely encouraging.”
Act Two @ Levine provides top-notch theatrical education for students grade 5-12. Students explore character development, performance skills, movement, vocal coaching and various other theatre skills.

The Act Two @ Levine season kicks off with the upcoming production of In the Heights, playing at The Georgetown Preparatory School from November 15-17, 2013.

Sutton Foster will be performing next in the Washington, D.C. area at The Kennedy Center on November 24th.
