‘If/Then’ Opens Tonight at The National Theatre by Joel Markowitz

I will be there tonight at 6 PM when the new Tom Kitt/Brian Yorkey musical If/Then officially opens at The National Theatre after almost 3 weeks of previews. My fingers are crossed that I will be seeing the next great new musical to thrill DC area audiences on its way to Broadway.

Last Sunday 40 members from a social group Darlene Olsen and I run called BroadwayBound Meetup/The Ushers saw the show. At dinner, after the matinee performance, all kinds of opinions hit the air, but everyone agreed that the cast is ‘unbelievable’ and that the show has the potential of being a great success.

So to all the cast and the creative team of If/Then – Break a leg!

Here is our coverage on DCMetroTheaterArts of If/Then, including six interviews with cast members Jason Tam, Jennn Colella, James Snyder, and Jerry Dixon.
