From Sandy Bainum: “I truly hope that people will come out to support ATMTC.  I can promise them that on December 8th they’ll see a wonderful show that’s filled with holiday spirit, humor, and joy. I’m a huge fan of Michael J. Bobbitt and the work he is doing at ATMTC and the holidays certainly seemed like the perfect time to do what we can to help this wonderful organization out.”

From Sandy’s website: “What could be a better holiday gift than a show and CD that are filled with melodies both classic and contemporary, sentimental and positively swinging?  Sandy will take you on a musical sleigh ride through terrific new arrangements of your favorite standards such as “The Christmas Song,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve,” “White Christmas,” and “Waiting For the Man With the Bag,” to name just a few.  Add to that several original holiday tunes and you’ve got a musical treat that will keep Santa entertained long after his midnight flight is through.  With musical direction by Emmy Award winner Lanny MeyersThis Christmas, both the show and the CD, will be the perfect presents for every music lover on your gift list, whether they were naughty or nice. The show, taking place on Sunday, December 8 at 7:30 will be a benefit for  Adventure Theatre MTC in Glen Echo Park.”

Sandy’s CDs This Christmas and Simply will be on sale at the event.

19 performances of ATMTC’s production of Goodnight Moon were canceled from October 1-19, 2013 because Adventure Theatre MTC was a resident of Glen Echo Park, although the organization does not receive federal funding. All proceeds of this event benefits Adventure Theatre MTC’s recovery.

Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased online.

From Michael J. Bobbitt, Producing Artistic Director of Adventure Theatre MTC: “Ms. Bainum has entertained our audiences for several years now, and her generosity in putting on this holiday concert is unparalleled. We cannot thank her enough for her support of our theatre, and of her dedication to theatre for young audiences. Although the situation is temporarily resolved with the government and the national parks, without a full resolution we may have to shut our doors again so we need as much positivity and holiday cheer as possible.”
