Due to the inclement weather, today’s noon matinee of “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” has been rescheduled for this Friday, December 13th at noon. Ticket holders for today’s show have been automatically reseated in this new performance. Ticket holders who cannot attend this new performance should contact the sales office at 202-488-3300.

Auditions for Dark Passages will go on this evening, December 10th 2013 as scheduled. Time: Sign-in begins at 6:30pm, auditions start promptly at 7:00pm. Location: Bowie Community Theatre, Kenhill Center Suite 111 2614 Kenhill Drive Bowie MD 20715

Cast of Characters:**Please note that all roles are available.**Harold Lemb – 30-65 years old – usually reserved and secretive and, at times, menacing. The audience should sense he is threatening even before Bret realizes it.Sandy Barker – Mid to late 20’s, pretty – has a sly, calculating manner.Bret Conway – 20’s, attractive, intelligent, trusting and idealistic.

Mark Ryder – Late 20’s to early 30’s, trim and well-built, attractive, but not overly muscular. Bret’s estranged lover. His anger can be explosive, but is only evident at key moments. At other times he can seem very appealing.

Eric Soames – Mid 20’s to early 30’s, trim, unconventionally attractive. Self-possessed and charismatic.

Police Detective Russell Craig – Mid-30’s to early 50’s, quirky in appearance, but not unattractive – a bit worn – looking. There is at once a burnt-out and an intense quality about him.

Gillian Hastings – 20’s, strikingly good-looking, stylishly flamboyant – considers seduction a game meant to be played with many men. Gillian is pronounced with a hard “G”.

All shows are being performed tonight.
Auditions for “Next Fall” are still on for 7:00-10:00 tonight at the Durant Center, 1605 Cameron St., Alexandria, VA 22314.
The LYONS is on tonight and they are offering $10 tickets.

Joel Markowitz is the Publisher and Editor of DCMetroTheaterArts. He founded the site with his brother Bruce to help promote the vast riches of theatre and the arts in the DC Metro area that includes Maryland, Virginia, and DC theater and music venues, universities, schools, Children's theaters, professional, and community theatres. Joel is an advocate for promoting the 'stars of the future' in his popular 'Scene Stealers' articles. He wrote a column for 5 years called ‘Theatre Schmooze’ and recorded podcast interviews for DC Theatre Scene. His work can also be seen and read on BroadwayStars. Joel also wrote a monthly preview of what was about to open in DC area theatres for BroadwayWorld. He is an avid film and theater goer, and a suffering Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. Joel was a regular guest on 'The Lunch and Judy Show' radio program starring Judy Stadt in NYC. Joel founded The Ushers Theatre Going Group in the DC area in 1990, which had a 25-year run when it took its final curtain call last year. Joel is a proud member of The American Critics Association.
