Open Auditions: 5-Minute Acts – Vocalists, Acoustic Musicians, Poets, Story-Tellers, Stand-Up Comics & More!
AC is looking to cast approximately 14 acts – vocalists, musicians, poets, story-tellers, stand-up comics – whatever you got, bring it! Folks 16 years of age and up are encouraged to audition.
No audition appointments. First arrived, first auditioned!

Casting & Performance:
-Current/ past HCC Students, Alumni, Staff & Guest Artists, ages 16 and up are welcome to audition.
-Non-paid, however, 2 comps will be given per performer.
-Cast List will be posted on AC’s website Aug 22nd. No phone calls.
-Coffee House performance is on Friday, September 26, 2014, 8 pm.

Audition Basic Info:
-Open to All – all genres and styles considered.
-Approximately 14 Acts will be selected (5-minute performance block each)
-Acoustic only please, no rock bands.

Audition Info for ALL:
-Audition Forms may be filled out in advance or on site.
-Fill it out in advance (preferred); download on AC’s website here.
-Or Fill it out on site, the day of the audition.
-Headshot & Resume encouraged.
-Arrive performance ready (including attire).
-Auditionees must perform entire piece during the audition (5 minute cut off).
-Auditionees may present two 5-minute pieces, but only 1 piece may be allowed.
-If cast, material may NOT be adjusted without AC’s approval (at least 72 hours in advance).
-Piano accompaniment will be provided for the audition and Coffee House, by Ms. Mayumi B. Griffie, please bring a copy of sheet music.
-Material MUST be memorized!
-Recorded music is not an option for this event.

REHEARSAL INFO:
No rehearsals except one complete run-through on the evening of the show. Performers must arrive by 5:30pm on September 26 for a complete dress-rehearsal.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 at 8pm on HCC’s Horowitz Center’s North Patio… under the stars! (If it rains, we’ll move inside)
