Quotidian Theatre Company Announces its 17th season!
QTC’s 2014-2015 season includes a fresh take on an international classic, a modern comedy from a Tony Award-winning playwright, and an early work from the company’s favorite living dramatist:
Hedda Gabler
by Henrik Ibsen
October 24 – November 23, 2014
The magnetic and mysterious Hedda Gabler, stifled by society’s conventions, has captivated audiences since she sprang from Ibsen’s imagination in 1890. Her perplexing machinations find the perfect home in Washington, D.C.’s politically-charged Georgetown of 1963 in this new adaptation by Iceman Cometh director Michael Avolio.
______
Lettice and Lovage
by Peter Shaffer
April 17 – May 17, 2015
QTC favorites Jane Squier Bruns as Lettice and Leah Mazade as Lotte will delight you in Peter Shaffer’s comedy about the most eccentric tour guide ever to lead lackadaisical visitors through one of England’s dullest stately homes. Lettice’s theatrical embellishments of its historical past ultimately lead her to a confrontation with the stoic and conventional Lotte, an inspector from the Preservation Trust. Directed by Louis Pangaro.
______
This Lime Tree Bower
by Conor McPherson
July 10 – August 9, 2015
It is the off-season at a coastal chipper north of Dublin as three young men recall recent events including a false accusation, a career embarrassment, and a bold act of retribution. McPherson’s early jewel combines the drama, comedy, and quotidian details which provide the audience with his deep insight into the human condition. Directed by Jack Sbarbori. “No sound is dissonant which tells of life.” – Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
