About the Directors: S.G. Kramer and Daniel Johnston

S.G. Kramer birthed W.I.G.’s truly unique style of improvisational storytelling over time, inspired by so many. W.I.G. became a reality in 2009 – exactly when the universe brought the magical, powerful-beyond-measure artist and Viewpoints goddess Alexandra Billings into AC’s lives… (followed by our incredible partnership with Steppenwolf West)! Kramer and Johnston have worked side by side on WIG’s vision from day one. Together (along with countless stellar artists) they have created and cracked open the magic that is W.I.G.!

About AC’s “What Improv Group?!?!”

Arts Collective’s What Improv Group?!?! (W.I.G.) began its on-stage journey February, 2009. For the past 5-plus years W.I.G. has been about creating and exploring a unique voice, a new take on improv and storytelling. W.I.G. not only performs at HCC–shows, workshops, seminars, etc.–they also appear off-campus. Previous off-campus gigs have included appearances via the Baltimore Improv Festival, Columbia Festival of the Arts, local schools, special events at HCC, etc.! Most notably, W.I.G. partnered with Steppenwolf West (Los Angeles) from day one–hosting three summer intensives (in 2009, 2010, 2012) featuring instructors Alexandra Billings, Eric Hunicutt, and Susan G. Kramer. Curious about W.I.G.’s improv work? View W.I.G.’s complete history and view W.I.G.’s entire Columbia festival of the Arts show online.
