Celebrating its 60th annual show and its return to Washington DC, Hexagon is still singing, taunting, and dancing away! Renowned as Washington’s only original, political, satirical, musical, comedy revue, Hexagon skewers politicians of all stripes and teases us about the foibles of our everyday lives. Everyone is fair game for roasting through songs, skits, and dances.
Hexagon 2015: The Spoof, the Whole Spoof, and Nothing but the Spoof!
This year’s hilarious, all-original show will run from March 13 through March 28, 2015, at the Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium – 3950 Chesapeake Street NW, in Washington, DC. (One block from the Metro Red Line Tenleytown-AU Station). The D.C. Employment Justice Center (EJC) is this year’s beneficiary and will receive proceeds from the show.
The 2015 cast of 39 from DC, Maryland, and Virginia will perform original songs with newly composed music and lyrics – not ”repurposed” old tunes – plus skits and dances about liberal laments, Tea Party dances, Putin, Obama, WMATA, Dan Snyder, and a “Blessed” shopping network, to name a few. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Hexagon show without the famous Hexagon ladies kick line!
“This town IS a joke!” says Malcolm Edwards, the director of this year’s show. “At least at our show you can laugh about it for a good cause.”

In keeping with Hexagon tradition, members of the Washington area media will also be volunteering their time for each performance by participating in Hexagon’s well-known Newsbreak segments. Media celebrities providing amusing news twists include such notables as: local WTOP anchors Shawn Anderson and Hillary Howard; Nathan Hager and Amy Morris of WNEW; Tony Perkins of FOX-5; Tommy McFly of Fresh FM; Jim Bohannon of AM 1500; Christine Brennan of USA Today; and Bob Madigan, formerly WTOP’s Man About Town.

Hexagon is honored to have The EJC as our charitable beneficiary this year. EJC’s mission is to secure, protect and promote workplace justice in the DC metro area. EJC has successfully protected the rights of low-income workers by using a combination of strategies, including legal services, policy advocacy, community organizing, and education.
