ABOUT AC’S WORKSHOP PRODUCTIONS:
The focus is on performance, the process, and in this case, an original play! The production will be staged in a modest form (sets, lights, costumes included will be elegant, yet simple). Actors cast will perform the play on their feet (lines memorized, with blocking) while enjoying an abbreviated rehearsal and performance schedule… and an amazing experience!

About the Playwright and Director: Daniel Johnston:

Playwright and Director Daniel Johnston.
Playwright and Director Daniel Johnston.

House. is Johnston’s first play to receive a workshop production as well as the first play he’s directed.  He has been writing prose as well as scripts for the stage and film for the past 8 years – most notable is his horror screenplay Blight, a film which was shot in 2012 and is currently in development/ pre-production, as well as his most prized short story, The Stalker. Directing credits include Arts Collective’s “What Improv Group?!?! (W.I.G.) co-directed with S.G. Kramer since 2014, which Johnston has performed with since its inception (2008). He has also performed on stage in numerous other productions with Arts Collective such as A Christmas CarolPeter PanAngels in AmericaDracula, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Most recently, he took on three roles in AC’s satire Eat the Runt. In the future, Johnston plans to get back to writing, and hopes House. will help him make a name for himself as an author and playwright.
