This year the dance students of the Theatre Arts Department have begun a collaboration with The Washington Ballet (TWB) Studio Company under the direction of Septime Webre. His vision and decision has been to bring diversity to the company and “present choreographers with fresh interpretation of classical ballet repertoire while also presenting classical iconic choreographers and works” -TWB.

This concert is the year-long culmination and final presentation of the Howard Dance students. The concert combines all of the theoretical classroom instruction, studio techniques, rehearsal, and performance skills into one setting for performance. The concert features a wide range of choreographers; the Department’s very own Royce Zackery, Assane Konte, and Katherine J. Smith, along with Junious “House” Brickhouse and Jamal Story. The production also features work from Student Choreographer Vicqueria Smith and The Washington Ballet Studio Company.
