Stars of ‘The Prom’ kick off Pride episodes of ‘My Broadway Memory’ on BPN

Co-hosts Michael Kushner and Brian Sedita welcome actors Caitlin Kinnunen and Josh Lamon to kick off their first Pride episode of “My Broadway Memory” on Thursday, June 18, at 7 pm. The live weekly visual podcast of the Broadway Podcast Network (BPN) celebrates the most memorable experiences at the theater with favorite luminaries of the stage to keep Broadway alive during the ongoing coronavirus hiatus.

During each installment of the series, that week’s special guests choose a Playbill program at random from their own collections and take a trip down memory lane. In addition to discussing the actual show, they will chat with Kushner and Sedita about the memories associated with that experience, as they consider the headshots, ads, and other features that make a Playbill a time capsule of Broadway history.

Michael and Brian invite theater fans everywhere to join in on the fun by creating their own ‘My Broadway Memory’ videos and sharing them on their Instagram or Facebook pages. If you do, be sure to tag @MyBroadwayMemory and use the hashtag #MyBroadwayMemory to have the chance of being featured on BPN.

Kinnunen and Lamon are the perfect choice for the inaugural Pride episode of the series, as stars of the 2018-19 Broadway production of The Prom. Based on an original concept by Jack Viertel, the Tony-nominated musical by Matthew Sklar (music), Chad Beguelin (book and lyrics), and Bob Martin (book) follows the story of four Broadway actors, in search of a cause, who journey to the conservative mid-western town of Edgewater, Indiana, to lend their support to a lesbian student banned from bringing her girlfriend to the high school prom. Tune in to see which Playbill the co-stars pick for their livestream conversation!

My Broadway Memory” plays on Thursday, June 18 (and on consecutive Thursdays), at 7 pm, on the Broadway Podcast Network’s YouTube channel. To view, click on the arrow below, or go online.
