Looking back, and forward, with the stars of Lincoln Center Theater

The stars of Lincoln Center Theater’s iconic productions reminisce about their experiences in an online retrospective Tales from the Wings, premiering on Thursday, May 13, at 7 pm. The one-hour celebration pairs video excerpts from past shows with anecdotes by their acclaimed cast members and teams, and will also offer viewers a sneak peek at LCT’s upcoming 2021-22 season.

Co-Chaired by Jonathan Z. Cohen & Julia Pershan and Elyse & Michael Newhouse, the event features appearances by actors Jordan Donica (My Fair Lady), Rosemary Harris (A Delicate Balance), Patti LuPone (Anything Goes), Audra McDonald (Carousel), Ruthie Ann Miles (The King and I), Seth Numrich (War Horse), Steven Pasquale (A Man of No Importance), and Paulo Szot (South Pacific), Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar (Disgraced), Mertz Resident Director Bartlett Sher (My Fair Lady; Oslo), and recently named Resident Director Lileana Blain-Cruz, sharing stories of their time at Lincoln Center and giving audiences a preview of the exciting season ahead at LCT.

The main event is presented free of charge, but supporters also have the option of purchasing Gala tickets, starting at $2,500. That opening-night-only package includes a “table” of ten tickets, special recognition, and an invitation to an exclusive pre-show event, “Cocktails with Martha,” beginning at 6:30, in which celebrity chef Martha Stewart leads guests in the making of a special cocktail concoction.

Tales from the Wings streams on Thursday, May 13, at 7 pm, on the Lincoln Center Theater YouTube channel, and will be available (with closed captioning) through Sunday, May 23, to watch and to revisit at your convenience. Viewing is free, but tax-deductible donations are encouraged. To register, go online; to purchase Gala tickets, click here.
