The opening of ‘Restart Stages’ and The GREEN at Lincoln Center

Restart Stages – Lincoln Center’s latest initiative to champion the revival, and an equitable revitalization, of the arts in NYC – had its official public opening yesterday, Monday, May 10, beginning with a land blessing ceremony facilitated by the Redhawk Native American Arts Council. The new outdoor performing arts center contains ten outdoor performance, rehearsal, and civic activation spaces across sixteen acres on the world-renowned campus.

The performance areas are situated around the physical centerpiece of The GREEN – a participatory art installation by designer Mimi Lien that reimagines 14,000 square feet of the iconic Josie Robertson Plaza as an accessible artificial green space, composed of recyclable bio-based synthetic grass material provided by SYNLawn New York.

The GREEN will be open daily through September, from 8 am until the conclusion of the Restart Stages evening performances. For more information on tickets and upcoming events, go online.
